Privacy notice
What we collect about you, why, who sees it, and how long we keep it. Written for the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173).
the driving school (“we”) runs this website and the driving courses it describes. We are the personal information controller for the data below.
What we collect
- When you enroll online: your full name, mobile number, e-mail, the course and branch you choose, your preferred start date and any message you write.
- When you enroll at the branch: your birth date, sex, address, a valid ID, your LTMS client ID and, for the driving course, your student permit number and its expiry. The LTO requires these to issue your certificates.
- While you train: the attendance of each theory session (time in and time out), each driving lesson (date, start and end time, the instructor, the training car, odometer readings, minutes credited and the skills covered), and the certificates issued to you.
- When you pay: the amounts, dates, payment method, receipt numbers and installment schedule. We do not take card numbers on this website.
- For our instructors: employee number, accreditation and licence details, and the time of each lesson act made on the instructor page.
Why we use it
- to contact you about your enrollment and schedule your lessons;
- to keep the record of your training hours that the LTO requires, and to refuse a certificate until those hours are complete;
- to issue your TDC and PDC certificates and transmit them to your LTMS account;
- to bill you, issue official receipts and keep our books as the Bureau of Internal Revenue requires;
- to keep the website and our records secure.
We rely on your consent (given on each form), on the contract for your course, and on our legal obligations to the LTO and the BIR.
Who we share it with
- The Land Transportation Office, through its LTMS portal: your certificates and the details on them, and our training records if the LTO audits us.
- The Bureau of Internal Revenue, as our tax records require.
- Service providers who run this website, its hosting and e-mail for us, under contracts that bind them to keep your data confidential and use it only for us.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Cookies and storage on your device
steer-theme(local storage) remembers whether you chose the light or the dark theme.steer-opened(session storage) remembers that the opening animation has played, so it shows once per visit.st_portalandst_instructorare sign-in cookies for the student portal and the instructor page. They hold a random session key, cannot be read by page scripts, and end when you sign out or after twelve hours.- Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam. Cloudflare processes technical data about your browser and connection to tell people from bots, under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
An enrollment request that does not become an enrollment is deleted after one year. Training records, certificates and payment records are kept for ten years after your course ends, because the LTO may audit a certificate and the BIR requires our books to be kept; after that they are deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
Your data is stored on access-controlled servers. Staff see only what their role needs; every change to a record is logged with who made it. The website talks to our system only from its own server, over an encrypted connection, and never exposes our keys to your browser.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you may ask to be informed, to access your data, to correct it, to object to its processing, to have it erased or blocked (except what the law requires us to keep), to receive a copy in a common format, and to be compensated for damage from inaccurate or unlawfully used data. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
